March 2010, new research* by Airmiles, the UK's leading travel rewards programme, shows British shoppers are losing out on freebies and perks, as 70% admit to missing 'reward' opportunities.

The study showed 55% of the UK's 30 million credit card holders** have cards that don't reward them as they shop. And 58% of those who have a reward credit card fail to maximise its value.
It also revealed 62% of the consumers who do collect rewards as they shop, prefer to use them for one big reward - rather than lots of little ones.
There's plenty of opportunity to get rewarded - the average consumer spends £1,700 a year on credit cards that don't yield rewards. But switching to the Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo Account and shopping at other Airmiles partners*** could get cardholders 750 miles a year - enough for a free flight.
In fact, the Airmiles Duo Account offers a market-leading reward value, giving a cashback equivalent of up to 6.57%.
