Travelex partners with Airmiles to reward holidaymakers
Brand new prepaid card available in Sterling, Euro and US Dollar
15 July 2010, Travelex, the leading foreign exchange specialist, and Airmiles, today announces the launch of the Travelex Airmiles Cash Passport card, the only prepaid card to reward customers with Airmiles when they load or reload their Cash Passport with currency.
Available in three currencies, Sterling, Euro and US Dollar, the Travelex Airmiles Cash Passport not only rewards holiday makers with Airmiles when they load or reload their prepaid card but is also a great way to save money and manage your spending when on holiday in the UK or abroad. Overseas ATM withdrawals are free* and the Travelex Airmiles Cash Passport also allows you to lock into the exchange rate at the time of load or reload, protecting you from currency volatility.
Free 24/7 global assistance is also available with the card, which means you will be issued with or emergency cash up to the value of the balance on the card, typically within 24 hours. A replacement card may also be available.
The Travelex Airmiles Cash Passport card can also be used in the UK for your everyday spending.
How it works
- Customers loading up to £149.99 on their prepaid card will be rewarded with 1 mile for every £30 spent
- Customers loading between £150 and £249.99 on their prepaid card will be rewarded with 1 mile for every £20 spent
- Customers loading over £250 on their prepaid card will be rewarded with 1 mile for every £9 spent
- You can also pick up 50 bonus miles the first time if you load £600 or more until 15 September 2010
Airmiles can be used for outstanding value travel rewards including free flights (that include airline taxes, fees and surcharges), Eurostar journeys, hotel accommodation, car hire and UK days out like LegoLand and Alton Towers.

Available from 15th July 2010, all Airmiles customers - existing and new - will be entitled to the Airmiles Cash Passport and can start collecting valuable Airmiles every time they load or reload currency on their Airmiles Cash Passport.
