We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously and it is a great achievement to be recognised with Green Globe certification; of which we are very proud. We are looking forward to working with other Green Globe certified members to offer our members a wide choice of hotels and popular destinations that help promote sustainable tourism. January 2012, The Mileage Company is the UK’s first travel rewards company to be certified by Green Globe.

The Green Globe Standard is a worldwide initiative to promote sustainable tourism. To achieve this award, companies are assessed on key areas including energy saving, waste management and effective management of paper and pool cars.

Many of the hotels offered by Avios, the travel rewards programme that The Mileage Company runs, are also Green Globe certified, showing members they have the same commitment to responsible tourism as their suppliers.
